@Teresa: I know what you mean. On days when all I have time for is shopping (no coupons/research) I just give myself credit that I got the shoppign done. That is a feat in itself sometimes!

I agree 100%! I just went on a shopping trip and did my coupon match-ups, since it was triple coupons this week. I invested a good hour clipping coupons and doing research, but I saved almost $50, so it was worthwhile! Other times, I run to the store with no coupons at all, because life is way too busy. (Of course, I DO grab the sale items vs. the ones not on sale.) Every little bit helps, but convenience and time are sometimes worth A LOT!

@Diana: I agree that frugalness has to be reasonable and make sense. Everyone’s family is different, but there are definitely times when I value my time and convenience over the highest savings!

Very well said! I like saving money and couponing, but I won’t let it run my life or take away from my children. I see people who save 97% and make it so they barely pay for anything. That’s a tough act to follow.
